.Read plans and try to understand how everything will be set out before you start.

.Establish a BL form your batter boards.

.Start on back wall (you don’t necessarily have to start at the back).

.Mark out the points where to start, mark on the floor with pencil where the frames will sit.

.Check number and stand the frame, find some bracing for the wall, use galvanized nails and tack to the floor

.Connect the next wall, generally forming a corner, make sure it is flush on outside and put a nail plate on top.

.Look for connecting frames and work your way to the front.

.Interior walls temp connected- leave both walls free from connections e.g. nail plates.

.Put the rest of the temp bracing on the walls.
.Level corners- top and bottom plates must both touch the straight edge.

.String line top and bottom plates to square up the building.
